Choosing wooden floors as part of the interior of a house or commercial building is indeed an attractive choice. Several patterns and colors can make the room look luxurious and elegant. Actually, it’s not just the color that is the basis for the selection of wood floors, because the material is also important to consider.
Let’s follow this explanation.
Solid Wood Flooring

As the name implies, solid wood floors are made of solid wood that have an expensive price. However, although it can provide its prestige value, solid wood is not very suitable for interiors in tropical regions with high humidity levels such as Indonesia, because solid wood flooring has the possibility of expanding and shrinking caused by air temperatures.
This type of flooring is generally produced with a thickness of 15 mm to 18 mm and can be refinished after some time is used. But unfortunately, solid wood floors cannot be installed just below the tank (below grade) and also cannot be installed on concrete.
Laminate Wood Flooring

Laminated wood flooring is made from wood pulp pressed together with glue, then laminated with decorative patterned wood paper.
Same with solid wood, this type of floor is also not suitable in environments that have high air humidity. Especially when compared with the two types of wood above, this type of floor will sound hollow and very looks not authentic.
Engineered Wood Flooring

Want to shock your guests with the beauty of your flooring, then it is this choice that you make. It is perfect for industries, commercial and home purposes. Engineered wood is made from 100% real wood, not fiber wood as used by some furniture manufacturers. This type of wood is processed with multi-layer technology, usually 2-3 layers with a general thickness of 14mm.
The advantages of engineered wood are relatively resistant to shrinkage and bending caused by the air temperature. And this floor can also be used directly underground or attached to concrete as long as the surface is not bumpy (flat).
Indonesian Wood Flooring has various types of Engineered Hardwood commonly used for floors. Hardwood Engineering uses solid wood that has been processed with multi-layer technology. This type is commonly also known as Engineered Parquet. And generally available with a thickness of 14 millimeters, and thinner than Solid Wood (Solid Timber). You can use Engineered Hardwood floors underground and stick directly to concrete. The only drawback is that most types of this floor cannot be finished again. These wood types include Hevea, Acacia, Mahogany, Teak, Sungkai and many more.
